The Showhouse
This person has a house in which they themselves do not seem to be at home. Everything is apparently brand new, even the notice on the door which asks you to remove your shoes before entering. As you walk around, you look careful back to make sure you are not leaving any foot indentations in the carpet. After you have been invited to sit, you gently lower yourself over a sumptuous looking armchair, but dare not actually make contact with it. You sit as close to the edge as you can manage, and take most of weight on your legs. Unless you arrive for a special occasion, you will find most things in the house covered with something to keep the dust off. All the time, the Showhouse is watching you to make sure that you do not disturb or mark anything.
