The Welcomer
This person has a house in which you feel instantly at home. The furniture looks as though you can relax on it, sink back and possibly have a light snooze (after you have drunk your coffee and eaten a couple of biscuits which seem to have arrived). You can comfortably follow the Welcomer into the kitchen, somehow knowing that though it is not messy, you can put your mug down on a surface without worrying too much in case it leaves a brown ring. In fact, you could have look round for a cloth and wipe it up anyway, after dipping into the biscuits which are invitingly on display. Then just as you are beginning to notice how nice the coffee smells, another mugful is warming your hands.
